Tour Overview
Discover Florianópolis with the assistance of a professional guide. In Brazil, the city is known as the Island of Magic. Its beautiful beaches are a haven for surfers and beachgoers alike. There's a lot of history here, as well as some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Explore Florianópolis' historic center, take in the view from the Herclio Light Lookout, and relax at Joaquina Beach, Conceiço Lagoon, Barra da Lagoa, and the north of the island.
Admire the city's small yellow metropolitan cathedral, the Praça Novembro XV (15th of November Square, named after the date the republic was established), and the imposing Palace Cruz e Souza (which now houses the historical museum of Santa Catarina). You will also see the Ponte Hercilio Luz, the first bridge built to connect Santa Catarina Island to the mainland. The bridge is now closed to traffic and is designated as a national cultural heritage site.
The itinerary also includes a stop at the Lagoa da Conceiço, one of Florianópolis' most famous natural landmarks. Not only does the neighborhood have a lagoon, but it also has a few buildings that date back to when the city was colonized and settled. You will see the lagoon of Conceiço Belvedere before passing through the Rendeiras avenue and arriving at Joaquina Beach, where various national and world surfing championships are held. You will then travel to Barra da Lagoa, where you will have free time for lunch (not included).
