Tour Overview
In just one day, see Rio's top attractions and monuments from a variety of views! From the coastline and above the Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountains, you may take in breathtaking vistas.
You will be picked up from your hotel and transported to Marina da Gloria, where the boat will depart at approximately 9.30 a.m. The Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanh), designed by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, is the first stop on your trip around Guanabara Bay. The Santa Teresa district, the Santos Dumont airport, and the three forts erected to protect the city, the So Joo Fort, Lajes Fort, and Santa Cruz Fort, can all be seen as you continue on and travel under the Rio – Niteroi bridge.
As you return, you'll pass through Niteroi, which is located on the other side of the bridge, and offers one of the best views of Rio de Janeiro. After that, you'll return to Aterro do Flamengo, where you'll be able to visit the spectacular Sugar Loaf, before stopping for a traditional barbeque meal (all you can eat style). After lunch, take a van ride up to Corcovado Mountain via the Tijuca rainforest to the towering Christ Redeemer statue in the Cosme Velho area. You'll have around 40 minutes to see all of Corcovado's sides and perspectives, including the world-famous Christ Statue.
Then you'll board a van to Santa Teresa, a laid-back area with a strong sense of tradition. But it also features street art, such as the incredible Selaron Steps, a set of magnificent ceramic steps created by artist Jorge Selarón. Before resuming your trip, you'll have around 10 minutes to think about it. The Sugar Loaf Mountain will be the last major attraction visited. The cable car will take you all the way to the top in two steps. The first cable car will take you to Urca Hill, a 215-meter-high observation point with stunning views of Guanabara Bay. A second cable car will carry you to the peak from this point. For around 45 minutes, explore the Urca and Sugar Loaf highlands. You'll return to your hotel after resuming your ride in the van.
