Tour Overview

A 2-hour trip northwest of Victoria will transport you to pure west coast wildness. Explore the waters between Southern Vancouver Island and the northernmost point of the Olympic Peninsula on a zodiac vessel in Port Renfrew.

Before sailing out into wide waters in search of humpback whales, orca (killer whales), and gray whales, take in the sights of the Carmanah lighthouse and hear about the history of the West Coast Trail. Keep an eye out for harbour seals and sea lions around the shoreline and in kelp beds.

You'll be outfitted with a cruiser suit before heading from the dock in search of the intriguing and exciting species that's just waiting to be discovered, thanks to tours led by a passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced captain. Just remember to bring your camera to capture the raw beauty of the area, and get ready to experience the wild.

What to Remember

  • Zodiac tours are not offered to those who are pregnant, those with pre-existing injuries, those with back and/or neck conditions or those in poor health.
  • You will be given a full length, floatation cruiser suit to protect your from ocean spray and cool air.
  • Children under 6 years old cannot participate in Zodiac tours.
  • Passenger check-in is at least 30 minutes prior to the tour departure time.
  • Passenger boarding begins 15 minutes prior to departure time.
  • Tours operate rain or shine and may be subject to change due to inclement conditions.
