Tour Overview
Lobos Island is a small flat island off the coast of San Cristobal Island, about 10 kilometers northeast of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The island's name is derived from the presence of several sea lions frolicking on the beach, whose brown fur stands out against the white sand.
You will board a boat from the dock in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno to Lobos Island. During the trip, you can see brown pelicans and various species of shorebirds; however, the presence of juvenile sea lions, stingrays, and sea turtles is common during the snorkel. Sea lions, blue-footed boobies, beautiful natural breakwaters, and other botanical, ecological, and recreational attractions will appeal to you.
It has an 850-meter trail with an estimated travel time of one hour. During the tour, you will pass through a dry vegetation area, a volcanic rock substrate, and a sandy area. You can also see marine iguanas, Chatham lava lizards, snake Eastern Galapagos footed boobies blue, swallow-tailed gulls, canary Mary, Galapagos sea lions, and gaviotn White head.
After lunch on board the boat, you will enjoy the beach of Playa Ochoa to practice snorkeling near the local fauna or to relax in this idyllic setting. You will return to the dock of the port Baquerizo Moreno at the end of the tour.
