Tour Overview
Berlin was the capital of the Third Reich for 12 years. Hitler's reign began in 1933, spanned Europe, and ended in 1945 with the Battle of Berlin.
Discover the 'Thousand Year Reich's' effects, such as the 'T4' euthanasia program, the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Sinti and Roma, and the Holocaust's murder of millions of Jewish victims. Learn about the destiny of Berlin's Jewish quarter, visit the Topography of Terror Museum's old SS and Gestapo headquarters, and view the devastation caused by Allied bombing during WWII.
You'll also learn about the rise to power of the National Socialist Party and how Joseph Goebbels' propaganda bolstered the party's hold on the German people. Discover how Albert Speer envisioned transforming Berlin into Germania, the world's capital, and stand in front of Hermann Göring's huge Luftwaffe headquarters.
We will finish our tour in front of Germany's parliament, the Reichstag, where Soviet forces were raising their flag above a wrecked Berlin, while the Führer prepared to commit suicide only 1km away.
