Tour Overview
Chichen Itza, the crown jewel of Yucatán, is an archaeological site brimming with ancient Maya ruins, temples, and pyramids. An early start is required as you travel deep into the Yucatán peninsula to tour the site. You'll also visit a traditional Maya village and journey into the Mayan underworld at a cenote. Lunch is also included.
Chichen Itza, the world-famous archaeological site, is a must-see while in Cancun. Your guide will tell you stories about ancient Maya history, culture, and legends as you gaze up at the mighty Kukulkan Pyramid, Temple of the Warriors, and Temple of the Jaguars.
Then, as you delve into the depths of a cenote with clear water and stunning stalagmite formations, you'll learn the secrets of Xibalba, the Maya god of the underworld. After lunch, visit the traditional Maya town of Yalkoba to get to know the locals.
