Tour Overview
Enjoy a tour where you can participate in one of Mexico's most important traditions, the Day of the Dead, which is celebrated on November 1st! On this tour, you will visit the UNAM, where dedicated offerings to iconic Mexican characters and family offerings are mounted each year. You will witness this offering monumental by the hand of your guide and learn about the elements that make them up.
The traditional catrinas and marigold flowers that decorate each of the scenes are visible. After this colorful visit, take a night tour through Xochimilco's canals in a trajinera. Float through the decorated canals and pass through the Chinampas, or floating gardens. You will go to a pantheon at night and admire the famous altars and their rich expressions of popular art that combine symbolism and thought, both pre-Hispanic and Catholic, around death. This tour is only offered once a year, so don't miss out!
