Tour Overview
Visit Teotihuacan, the "City of the Gods," early in the morning when the sun begins to rise over the pyramids and before the tour groups from Mexico City arrive.
Enjoy this impressive archaeological site as it begins to open its doors and peacefully visit different buildings, plazas, and murals, because the place is virtually empty at that time, with a magical and mystical atmosphere that allows you to have a more authentic and live experience in this great city of ancient Mexico.
This Teotihuacan experience will be enhanced by the stories, anecdotes, history, and information on the most recent discoveries that the "cultural interpreter" will share with you during the tour.
With their local knowledge and experience, the heritage guide/interpreter will take you to places that other tours do not usually visit, including the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, the Avenue of the Dead, and the Palace Quetzalpapalotl, as well as time to climb the Sun and Moon Pyramids.
To round out this experience, you will visit an obsidian workshop with a genuine Teotihuacan family and sample some cactus liqueurs, as well as Tequila, Mezcal, and Pulque. You can eat lunch right there, with a variety of dishes and traditional Mexican flavors that are a great experience in and of themselves.
