Tour Overview
This guided tour allows you to discover Mexico City's beauty! Following your pick-up, you will proceed to the city's historic center to begin your walking tour from the Palace of Fine Arts to the City's Main Square, admiring fantastic constructions from Mexico's glorious historic past such as the Palace of Fine Arts itself, the Casa de los Azulejos, and the Iturbide Palace, among others. When you arrive at the main square, you will visit the National Palace, one of the world's oldest governmental buildings (1693), and you will appreciate the world-famous Diego Rivera murals inside.You will also have a panoramic view of the Templo Mayor, a sacred site of the Aztec culture in Nueva Tenochtitlan, and you will visit the metropolitan cathedral, which was built on a large Aztec temple and is considered the largest in Latin America.
The tour continues with a panoramic view of Paseo de la Reforma to admire its monuments, followed by a visit to Chapultepec Castle and then to one of Mexico City's most exclusive neighborhoods. Finally, you will arrive at the Museum of Anthropology and History, the world's second most important museum and a tribute to indigenous Mexico. The guide will show and explain the Mexica Room, and then you will have free time to explore the various historical pieces, including the famous Aztec Calendar.
