Tour Overview

Join our tour for a lovely day in Yosemite National Park, one of the crown jewels of the United States National Parks! This full-day tour includes stops at beautiful trails, breathtaking waterfalls, and massive sequoia trees. An incredibly competent and courteous guide will accompany you throughout the adventure.

The cruise begins by crossing the San Francisco Bay Bridge to the east, providing breathtaking views of San Francisco, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge. You will proceed through California's Central Valley (San Joaquin Valley). The Central Valley is the country's major food-growing region. You'll pass almond, walnut, cherry, and other fruit and nut orchards on your way there. After a small pit stop for refreshments, the trip will continue into the Sierra Nevada foothills and California's gold region, passing via Groveland, California, a historic gold mining town, and then into the mountains and Yosemite National Park.

Once you've arrived at the park, you'll spend some time walking among the world's largest living objects, the huge redwood trees, commonly known as Sequoias (weather permitting). The largest tree has a base diameter of nearly 40 feet (12 meters) and can live for over 3,000 years. After that, take in one of Yosemite Valley's most breathtaking panoramas, which includes Bridalveil Falls, El Capitan, and Half Dome. A short drive from there will take you to Bridalveil Falls and El Capitan, the world's largest exposed slab of granite, which rises 4000 feet above the valley floor. Then it's on to Half Dome and Yosemite Falls, North America's largest waterfall with a drop of 1000 feet (300 meters). Fun fact: Yosemite has more waterfalls than any national parks in the US.

It's time for lunch at the Yosemite Lodge (not included) and some free time to explore on your own. You might spend your leisure time hiking along beautiful paths, relaxing at the base of Yosemite Falls, or visiting Yosemite Village. After some free time, the trip will ascend out of the valley, stopping briefly in the Central Valley for lunch before returning to San Francisco and your accommodation.

Full Tour Intinerary:

6:15 am - 7 am: Pickup at your San Francisco hotel
7 am - 8 am: Drive east towards Yosemite with a stop for snacks and restrooms
8 am - 10 am: Resume journey and arrive in Yosemite
10 am - 4 pm: Spend the day in beautiful Yosemite National Park
4 pm - 4:30 pm: Start our ascent out of the Yosemite Valley
4:30 pm - 6 pm: Drive back to San Francisco through the Central Valley and stop for some food and restrooms
6:30 pm - 8 pm: Resume the drive back to San Francisco and arrive back at your hotel
